The event “Ethics in Horizon 2020” is organized by EU GrantsAccess, the joint Grants Office of ETH Zurich and University of Zurich, in collaboration with Euresearch, the Swiss Network for Education, Research and Innovation. The event will focus on the process to assess and address the ethical dimension of activities funded under Horizon 2020, the so-called Ethics Appraisal Procedure.

Horizon 2020 is of utmost importance for the excellence of the Swiss research and innovation community. We are aware that excellent and innovative scientific research requires the application of fundamental ethical principles and that ethics is an integral part of research from beginning to end. Therefore, it is a crucial aim of every Swiss participant in Horizon 2020 to comply with the ethical standards provided by the European Commission.
