Individual Grants

Switzerland offers outstanding opportunities for postgraduates and scientists to organise their research within an international context. This is true for both researchers working in Switzerland and international researchers spending time in Switzerland. There is no central office for grants. ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich maintain numerous co-operations with partner universities across the globe. Postgraduates of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich may therefore spend time abroad within the scope of a grant or exchange programme in order to acquire special professional, linguistic or personal experiences.

Students of the University of Zurich wishing to go abroad by means of a programme please contact the University’s International Relations Office. Students of ETH Zurich please contact either ETH Zurich’s Student Exchange Office or ETH Global.

Notwithstanding the above bilateral programmes, the following programmes make it possible for national and international researchers to come to Switzerland to pursue scientific activities or to move from Switzerland to another country.
