You received the grant, congratulations!
You are now in the Grant Agreement Preparation (GAP) phase. Some administrative issues lie ahead. We are happy to support you and explain the procedures to you. During this phase, a close collaboration between you and our office is crucial.
Support - our services:
- we take care of administrative processes
- we negotiate the partnership agreement with the return host (for Global Fellowships)
- we guide you step by step through the granting process
- we sign the Declaration of Honour (DoH, predecessor to the Grant Agreement) and the Grant Agreement (GA, contract between Host Institution and the European Commission, for European Fellowships)
- we ensure that the employment regulations of the EU are met
Procedures - your administrative tasks:
- you may simply follow our instructions guiding you through the process. We will contact you whenever action is needed.
You have a reporting obligation towards the European Commission. Besides continuous reporting, this obligation includes a final report with a scientific, a technical, and a financial part. For the financial part, the financial departments of the external pageUniversity of Zurichcall_made or protected pageETH Zurichlock support you.
You will be notified in due time about upcoming reports and informed about your duties.
Amendments (changes) to the contract might be necessary during the lifetime of the project. The most common reasons for an Amendment involve:
- Suspension of the project (e.g. parental leave)
- Early termination
- Request for part-time work
- Change of Host Institution
- Substantial scientific deviation from Annex 1 of the Grant Agreement
